The vehicle (4) is suspended by two superconductive magnetic coils (6, 7) arranged in parallel to each other with a conductor rail (2) between them to form a zero flow system (9). The conductor rail is also acts as a reaction rail in conjunction with a linear motor fitted to the vehicle and is manufactured from aluminium with a thickness (d) and conductive capability which lies between 100 and 200 x 303 ohms -1 with a thickness of from 3 to 6 mm. The zero flow system is so adjusted to the pre calculated product of the rails thickness and conductivity property that an average value between the quotient of the brake loss and the guide force for a first speed (Vn) 28 meters per sec. and the corresponding speed (Vh) for a higher speed 50 meters per sec. is minimal.
