A system for the drip feed of an infusion liquid e.g. a physiological saline solution, into a vein, artery or under the skin of a human body, comprises (a) a peristaltic pump driven by a stepwise moving motor and connected to a drip chamber contg. the infusion liquid (b) a photo-electronic drop senser, installed in the drip tube for the infusion liquid, connected to a monitoring switch and incorporated in the control circuit of the pump drive motor and itself connected to an indicator, a section of pipe included in the pump pipe line has an internal dia. which for a pre-selected pump delivery and in spite of a demand for a sufficient quantity of infusion liquid, prevents the formation of a closed liquid stream (d) a stepwise moving motor is used as the drive unit (e) the monitoring device, formed by a rocker switch and serving for the matching of the set and actual value of the feed, via an electronic gate, is connected to the drive motor control circuit (f) the electronic gate is connected to the monitoring which switch unit via frequency divider circuit to a time base emitter which in turn is connected to a school frequency divider circuit connected to the set value emitter. The drip-feed system has a high metering precision and can be controlled by an electronic data processing unit.
