摘要
The staircase is made up from reinforced marble steps, set into a supporting wall on one side, and connected on the cantilevered side by spacer bolts or spacer tubes, fixed to them so as to make up a load bearing entity. Holes (2, 3) fitted at an interval from step corners of the cantilevered side, and running vertically in the steps, are joined by vertical slots (6, 7) on the underside of the steps, running parallel to the longitudinal edges of the steps and extending to their clamping end. These slots have flat iron bars fixed into them using putty, and these are welded to tubular pieces (8, 9) which are also inserted using putty in the vertical holes. Reinforcement of the marble steps can be carried out with min. work and machinery, and is not visible from outside.
