Curable polyester mixts. for coatings and printing inks contain (1) unsatd. polyester resins from polyvalent alcohols and polycarboxylic acids, at least 25 mole % of the carboxylic acids being alpha, beta-ethylenically unsatd. and at least 25 mole % of the alcohol or acid component being a cpd. having a norbornane or norbornene ring, (2) an ethylenically unsatd. monomers and (3) a light sensitiser. The mixts. cure rapidly with u.v. light in the presence of atmospheric oxygen and/or pigments, to give films having an excellent combination of hardness and flexibility.
