The fixture device has an outer, deformable, cylindrical socket, the length of which is larger than the thickness of the workpiece, in which it is to be inserted. The fastener comprises an expansion body (137) with an entry part which has an inclined front end and a shaped body part (139) behind it, of which part is located within the workpiece (11) after axial movement, and a socket (123) which has an inclined shoulder (143) inside. The shaped body part of the expansion body (139) is provided with projections which extend outwards from a small diameter of the expansion body and are rounded on their outer ends. The projections are rib-formed in an axial direction.
