In an appts. for automatic generations of gases (e.g. H2, O2, Cl2 etc) by charging a solid material, (e.g. a catalyst metal, or salt etc. into a liq. soln. under press. without interruption of the continuous reaction, the soln. is contained in an appts. of acid resistant material which is provided with a filling connection and a cleaning connection. Used for generation of gases in situ for craft-work, individual applications. Cases are more cheaply obtd. than when delivered in pressurised bottles. The appts. operates safely by eliminating corrosion. A wide range of gases can be produced.
