Polytetrafluorethylene of good stability - filled with barytes or fluorite

Polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) mixtures contain at least 160 g/100 g of PTFE of filler chosen from barytes and/or fluorite. The mixtures are made by mixing PTFE powder with powdered filler of similar granular size which is pref. between 30 and 100 mu, and the mixt. is formed by fitting in the normal way for PTFE. The product has exceptional dimensional stability and resistance to deformation by friction. Used for making parts of clutches and brakes, swivel joints and frictionless pads.
