The coating comprising the following successive layers from the bottom upwards; (a) a sealing strip floating on the substrate, (b) a pressure and/or solvent - resistant and/or heat-insulating inter. layer, (c) a bituminous layer bonding the inter. layer to the next outermost layer and (d) a rolled asphalt layer.
