Melted cheese dishes - prepd on hotplate suitable for domestic kitchens canteens, restaurants etc

A piece of cheese is retained in position while it is at least partly melted by a hotplate descending by gravity on top of the cheese, the hotplate being carrier at the end of a pivoted arm. The hotplate pref. houses an electric heating element which can be thermostatically controlled at about 220 degrees C. The lower face of the hotplate should have a non-stick coating, e.g. 25-30 mu of PTFE. The design is inexpensive, robust, easily portable and trouble-free.
