Lithium addn to aluminium - to prevent porosity in casting or welding

摘要

Pressure of 10 ppm to 10 wt.% Li, w.r.t. total wt. in Al or Al alloys pref. contg. 85-100 wt.% Al and 0.15wt.% Cu, si, fe, Mn, Mg, Zn, Cr, Ti, Zr, Nb and/or Ta, prevents porosity in metal on welding or casting. The Li-contg. materials can be used as weldable material and welding wire in TIG or MIG electron ray or gas-welding.
