Electroplating cylindrical workpieces - using small hard particles carried by porous support

Process comprises entirely enclosing the peripheral surfaces of a work-piece in the areas to be plated by a porous support which carries hard fixed particles in contact with the work-piece surfaces, and the enclosure is turned around the work-piece throughout electroplating. The process is used to deposit heavyweight coatings and coatings of any required thickness can be formed on e.g. bars or tubes.
