Transfer conveyor for joinery machines - has gripper jaws closed by conveyor and pivot arm mechanism

Workpieces are conveyed on a belt between two machines under a set of blocks on a chain conveyor which can be moved to right or left as required, each block forming one jaw of a pair to grip the workpiece, the other jaw being a block carried on an arm so that it can be moved towards and away from the gripping position by a screw under the control of a guide surface and spring system. The whole being actuated by a control system synchronised with the machines at either side.
