Tooth material in powder form is packed between two side-by-side bodies of backing material in an air-tight container which is evacuated and sealed before being isostatically hot pressed. The bonded product is rolled to a composite strip having a central band of tooth material, the strip finally being split to form two lengths of saw blade stock.
