The boiler has in line with its firebox a convection cluster, and the firebox has four walls formed of arched tubes connected to top and bottom manifolds, while the cluster comprises a set of vertical exchanger tubes mounted very close together. The manifolds for the arched tubes also act as manifolds for the cluster, and the number of top and bottom cluster manifolds can be higher than that of the manifolds for the firebox. The arched tubes are mounted edge to edge. The convection cluster can also be formed by four walls of tubes arranged edge to edge, to which its vertical exchange tubes are welded at top and bottom.
