Multiple-probe scintigraphy unit - has tilting probe with reference positions in plane of axis of another probe

The unit has a number of slave probes each incorporating a scintillator with photomultiplicator whose optical axis passes through a collimating lens. The optical axis of a tilting probe has at least two reference positions in a plane passing through the optical axis of another probe, and means for adjusting and positioning the tilting probe axis are included. The axis of this probe can coincide with that of the order, or be at right angles to it. Compared with existing designs, the unit is appreciably cheaper to produce, while allowing a complete examination of the patient to be carried out.
