The microfilms or microcards are arranged on the surface of a cylinder which, turning on its axis and/or moving axially brings any image into the optical system. The images are placed on the surface of the cylinder on divisions, real or virtual, carefully set with respect to a given point of a given generator. The image support is a transparent drum carried on a trolley which moves along slides parallel to the axis of the cylinder. The bases of drum are discs resting on rollers or supports fixed on the trolley. One of these discs is connected to the driving system. The other has an orifice sufficiently large to permit the light source to penetrate the interior of the drum.
