New fertiliser compsns. comprise 10-50%w/w of one or more tree barks in fine particles, and 90 to 50%w/w of manure (expressed as dry matter), contg. 10-15%w/w of moisture. Mixts. with bark may be dried to the required final moisture contents instead of the more unreliable methods which pre-dry fresh farmyard manure. The bark also contains useful mineral components, organic complexes and also hydrophobic and antiseptic cpds. which help to preserve the compsns.
