Adjustable capillary watering device for plant pots - has lever turning wick to vary wick transmission area

The assembly consists of a flower pot, a water container, a water flow indicator scale and a control lever. The pot stands on legs on the water container, from which it is separated by a grill carrying the primary wick. The water flow is adjustable by means of an external lever which moves the primary wicks in relation the secondary wicks which are on the bottom of the pot. The rate of flow of water by capillary action depends upon the size of the in-contact surfaces of the wicks. When the grill is turned, by means of the lever, cams operating with bosses cause the wicks to be separated, thus cutting off the flow of water.
