Urea foodstuff additives for ruminants - with urea grains coated with mixture of light and heavy paraffins

Food additive for ruminant foodstuffs is new, which comprises urea and a heavy paraffin (m.pt 48-72 degrees C), in which there is also one or more light, linear 16-20C paraffins. Specif. claimed is a complex contg. 20% w/w of heavy paraffin, m.pt 50-52 degrees C, 20% w/w of eicosane and 60% w/w of urea. More appetising than known compsns., and the urea is progressively liberated into the rumen avoiding the acute ammonia intoxication of cattle by some known compsns.
