Device for attaching rigid orthopaedic panel to flexible garment comprises a rigid member, e.g. metal plate, inlaid in the garment and riveted to a flexible plastics gripping sheet, e.g. of low-density polyethylene, which is capable of support after adjustment of the garment. The plastics sheet is stitched to the garment and lining along its edges and as near as possible to the rigid panel. The latter is pierced and cut on its inner surface to allow it to be fixed to a panel on the outside which is integral with the orthopaedic part.
