Insertion of steel rods into concrete wall - has rods forced down by adaptors retained in housing clipped over top of wall

An arrangement for insertion of vertical steel reinforcing rods into interlocking concrete blocks which form a double wall with a layer (3) of insulation between them, includes a sleeve (4) through one outer set of blocks (1) threaded (9) at the bottom, and a similar sleeve (5) through the other blocks (2) into which are inserted the steel rods (7) threaded at the top (8). These rods pass through horizontal cross members (13, 22) held over the top by a pair of spring clips (16) which grip between them vertical clamping plates (14, 15) to hold them against the outer blocks. The rods are forced downwards by adapters (10) with internally threaded sleeves and lower flanges (11) attached to the cross members by forked brackets (12) and screwed on top of the steel rods (7).
