Variable signal traffic indicator - frame lower section has pivoted sign tables for selective display

The box-shaped frame is supported by a mast and can be turned around on a roller bearing. The frame houses a motor with a worm gear driving shaft with several chains as well as sign tables with a pivot and tie wrapped around the drum of a reducer gear. The lifted tables cover the symbol on a side of the frame when moved from their inactive horizontal position to the vertical position and thus allow display of warning signs in accordance with the variable conditions of the prevailing traffic.
