摘要
The removal of polar cpds. (DMF, DMSO), N-methylpyrrolidone, acetonitrile or culpholane) from liq. hydrocarbons is carried out by contacting with an ion-exchange resin contg. =1 (pref. 5-30) wt. % of H2O, and separating the hydrocarbon from the resin. The presence of H2O increases the capacity and selectivity of the resin for the removal of polar cpds. The ion-exchanger resin is pref. a macroporous cation exchange resin, e.g. based on a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer, in which the cation can be a metal (esp. K) or an ammonium radical (esp. NH4). Any type of hydrocarbon can be treated. The wt. ratio of the hydrocarbon/polar cpd. mixt. and the resin can be 1-20, 000:1. One or more beds (fixed or fluid) of the resin can be used. The LHSV of the liq. feed can be 1-100.
