Lightweight, quickly interchangeable line guides for fishing rods - facilitate and improve sensitivity, handling and performance

The ring shaped details attached to a fishing rod for guiding the line are arranged as holders for a replaceable line guide ring made from a low friction material such as PTFE and the holders have a recess into which the guides can be clipped. The circumference of the guide ring may have a circular groove into which a simple loop in a single wire can be sprung, thus holding the rig securely in position. With these lightweight, low friction, easily replaced guides, the line can be cast farther but, whilst the rod is easier to handle and more sensitive.
