Parent patent describes an automatic injection syringe provided with a lateral feed tube for the injecting liq., means for holding the animal, means for advancing and withdrawing the syringe at each injection and means for moving the piston with respect to the body of the syringe. In this addn. the new holding means allow of a satisfactory sub-cutaneous injection; the inclined holding plate has an orifice for the syringe carrying the needle. The neck of the chicken is maintained above the orifice by a single finger while the other fingers secure the body. The injection is effected by pressing a button, as in the parent patent. Opening the hand releases the bird which slides down the holding plate to fall into a suitable receptacle. The intramuscular injections the body of the chicken is seized by one hand while the other holds the left foot against the edge.
