Medical instrument sterilisation device - with sheath contg ethylene oxide released by hand-operated valve or bursting ampoule

Medical instruments (hypodermic needles) are sterilised by introducing them into an inner bulb which is connected by a valve to an outer flexible sheath filled with a sterilising gas such as ethylene oxide. Finger pressure on the valve opens it and allos the gas to enter the inner bulb with the instrument. The inner bulb and valve can be replaced by a fragile ampoule with the gas which can be burst by hand pressure. This is a simple and handy device for sterilisation which can be employed immediately prior to the use of the instrument.
