Digital measurement appts. for analog phase shift - gives count during input to output pulse time interval wrt given input count

Analogue signals are converted to digital signals and phase shift is measured by counting clock pulses during the time period between input and output signals of the circuit under test. A sinewave signal from a generator is applied to a circuit under test and to one input of the measuring circuit. The output of the test circuit is applied to a second input. These inputs are connected to comparators in turn connected to binary counters through gating circuits which are connected to a clock and divider circuit. A programmable clock divider is connected to a front panel control. A logic circuit performs pulse count ratio calculations giving phase shift and a separate comparator enables determination of phase sense.
