1516384 Plant pots BAYER AG 27 Aug 1975 [29 Aug 1974] 35335/75 Heading A1E A hydroponics plant pot 1 has an annular recess 3 in its base 2 for receiving a container 4 containing hydroponics fertilizer which has apertures 5 and/or slots 6 such that when the pot and container are placed in a surrounding water reservoir (not shown) the fertilizer enters the surrounding water and is conveyed into the pot 1 through slots 7. The recess has a depth of between 0.5 and 2.5 centimetres and an internal diameter of between 6 and 10 centimetres whilst the diameter of the apertures 5 and/or the width of the slots is less than or equal to 0.5 millimetres to prevent pellets of the fertilizers from being washed out. Conical sleeves may be arranged over the top of the recess 3 for the insertion of plant support sticks.
