A thermosealable cover for plastics or paraffin coated carton containers used e.g. for packaging fluid foodstuffs such as yoghurt, is made of a thin aluminium sheet coated witha mixt. which is thermosealing at 120-130 degrees C and comprises a microcrystalline was modified by =2 chemically similar polymers of different melt index (m.i) one polymer pref. having an m.i of 15-30 (Brookfield, NF T51-210) and the other an m.i of 300-500. The cover s easy to fix, provides efficient and durable sealing, can be easily removed and can be used with conventional containers.
