The apparatus comprises a distributor for granular or powdery materials. A ventilator housing includes an air inlet vent and an air blast discharges the material to be sprinkled through an adjustable gap controlled by a sector plate hinged at an axle fixed in the housing. The ventilator section is circular in shape. The sector plate is approximately triangular with a graduated aperture tapered in shape along the arc of a circle centred on the pivot point.
