Security system for handle of sheet plastic bag - has halves of handle locked by press fit straps breaking upon attempted bag opening

The bag (10, 11) is welded to the mounting plates (20, 21) of the halves of a carrying handle. Each half is extended at the bottom to form a bar (17, 18) extending the length of the bag opening. One bar (17) has three integrally moulded straps (25). Each strap has a button headed stud (27, 28). After closing the bag, the straps are folded over the top and the button heads locked in holes (30) in the bar on the other side. Any attempt to open the bag breaks a zone of weakness (26) in each strap, to give a visible indication of the attempt.
