The boiler comprises two horizontal reservoirs joined by a vertical tube bundle and one above the other, the bundle being accommodated inside a body forming the combustion chamber. The tubes are straight, and swaged into holes in the horizontal upper and lower walls of the lower and upper reservoir respectively. The top and bottom reservoirs are each formed by oval top and bottom plates, joined to each other along all their perimeter by a sidewall welded between them. The two plates in each reservoir are also joined by a dense forest of vertical struts welded between them.
