The tanks are made of a synthetic resin and are buried below the soil surface with their wicks arranged in a roughly circular pattern. the tanks are arranged in rows and are connected to one another by pipes, the rows being connected at their ends by pipes (7). The soil may be fed by the addition of fertilisers to the water in the tanks.
