Poly(carbonates-urethanes) are prepd. by the interfacial polycondensation of a mixt. of bischloroformates comprising at least one polycarbonate hydroxytelechelic bischloroformate dissolved in an org. solvent which is inert and non miscible with water and an aqs. soln. of a diamine, the reaction taking place in the presence of an acid acceptor. The novel polymers are highly resistant to yellowing and thermally stable. They are partic. suitable for use in industrial coatings and safety glass industry.
