Flexible thermoplastic tube mfg process - uses segments in extruder moulding zone positioned at will from extruding axis

In the mfr. of thermoplastic tubing, where the walls of the tube are axially corrugated to give an extending tube character. An extruder is used to shape the thermoplastic material into the requird tubular form with segments carried by rotating guides in the moulding zone to give the soft plastic the shaping, the segments being moved forwards and backwards within the mould during extrusion. The process allows the use of mouldings segments which are located relatively distant from the axis of the moulding zone, giving a simple equipment for mfg. flexible tubing of large diameters.
