The multiple-point electrode, for preventing the build-up of electrostatic charge, consists of two or more strands of bared conducting wire twisted together and holding bundles of pointed conductors between pairs of twists or crossovers. The wires may each be composed of several strands. The bundles of pointed conductors may be tinned or silvered wires soldered together at their middles and with their pointed ends projecting outwards at right angles to the axis of the stranded wire that is holding them. The advantage of this 'antistatic' electrode structure lies in its simplicity and cheapness.
