The warehouse system consists of a rigid construction in which are movably mounted containers with a surface on one of its sides for stacking a predetermined number of goods. Each container is driven by a linear motor consisting of a stationary part located in the rigid construction and a moving armature attached to the container. A conveyor is used for removing the goods from the container. The stationary part (113) of the linear motor is mounted on a distortion-free frame (135) and the linear motor armature is mounted on a distortion-free frame (124) positioned on the container. The frames (135, 124) are moved relative to each other. The frames (124, 135) are fitted with guide rails (161) along both sides of the linear motor.
