The optical device for visual correction operates by superimposing multiple fields (2-5) with identical focal points. This enables the field of view to be increased while suppressing the marginal errors of thick lenses. A net-vision is thus possible in the multiple directions. The optical device may used as a spectacle lens; it is used by patients whose eyes have been operated on for cataract, and who need very strong positive lenses for focussing of real images, on the retinas of their eyes. The decisions of the lens area give clear fields of view in the directions in which the patient wishes to look.
