The electronic control system is used for monitoring the stored energy in storage heates and it allows for a main recharge during low tariff hours. The design is intended to provide a more precise control than electro-mechanical systems. Both the recharging heater element and the blower motor are fed from separate triac circuits each of which is switched from orthodox transistors circuits. These in turn are controlled by a temperature sensitive resistor in a variable resistance circuit and a light sensitive resistor activated by a neon lamp during low tariff hours, switching to the lamp being controlled by a clock switch.
