An automatic watering unit can be programmed in accordance with local conditions, and is completely automatic. It consists of a reservoir (A), an electric pump (1), a series of valves (2), a float cock (3), a float switch (4), a programmer (5) and a rain gauge (6). The programmer controls the successive opening or closing of the valves in cycles which depend upon the filling of the reservoir. Watering can be cancelled automatically on certain days of the week by selection on a counter-order disc, or by the rain gauge when filled by natural rainfall or for safety reasons when the reservoir is empty. In case of defects, action is taken by means of fuses and re-setting devices. The unit can be installed by non-specialists in calculation, siting or plumbing.
