A basic unit (21) can receive cutting-clamping elements (22, 23, 24) of equal or unequal length and adjustable in diameter. The elements effect one or several cutting and clamping functions simultaneously. The cutting elements are either completely made from high speed steel, hard metal or other cutting material or are capable of being fitted with suitable cutting surfaces. The angle of cut can be either fixed or variable. The combined clamp tool can receive and clamp a drill (16) or can itself be fitted to a drill tool in which case the cutting element locates on the drilling tool or at a required depth within the cover periphery of the drilling tool.
