The prosthesis joint has two parts (10, 16) formed so that they are each rigidly fixed to one of the bones to be connected by the joint whereby the first part contains a ball fitting into a complementary part-spherical sleeve in the second part which extends over more than a semi-spherical area and has a rim into which the ball is snap-locked. The ball (11) is equipped with two pegs (15) projecting from diametrically opposite sides of the ball and fitting into corresponding recesses (20) in the rim (19) of the sleeve thus limiting the relative movement of the parts (10, 16) in at least one plane. Pref. the first part (10) is of metal and the second part (16) of moulded plastic, permitting sufficient elasticity for the parts to snap together.
