The compendium comprises pieces to play 124 different games, chosen to suit from one to several players, and has 64 square playing cards. Each card has a picture representing one of ten families, the first letter of the picture a number, a sign, the name of the family and the other three cards in that family. The remaining 24 cards have other pictures. Several dice and various coloured counters and tokens are supplied, packed in a box and supplied with a rule book. Cards have different coloured backs, allowing them to form chequered boards and other playing areas.
