Planning chart using horizontal bars - uses coloured bars and lines to represent different tasks and progress

The programme planning chart enables one to see the progress of works with respect to planned progress, and to determine the effects of differences. Each operation of the works is represented by elementary tasks which are represented on the chart by a series of coloured bars. Each operation of a specific colour is connected by well defined constraints. Date on the charts is represented by vertical lines. Overlaid on these lines are broken lines (9) which indicate the actual progress of the works with respect to the planned progress at a given date. Delays to the left of the line are indicated by red markers (13). Advancements to the right of the line are indicated by green markers (12).
