The line of weakness 18e may be defined by perforations. Holes, about 1 to 2 inches in diameter are defined by cuts 19e and used for gripping the top sheet 17e for tearing it away from the diaper 11e. In an alternative embodiment, finger-grips are defined by cuts along opposite corners of a substantially rectangular central area about 11 x 9 to 13 inches in dimensions. The line of weakness may, in another embodiment, be defined by grain lines transverse to the length of the top sheet and cuts in the longitudinal direction.
