1429735 Hydroxy polyesters BAYER AG 11 Jan 1974 [13 Jan 1973] 01389/74 Heading C3R A polyester having a hydroxyl number of 30 to 500 is derived from a polybasic carboxylic acid or anhydride and a polyhydric alcohol component comprising 2-methyl-propane-1,3- diol which may be mixed with up to 90 mol per cent, based on the total quantity of polyhydric alcohol component, of other polyols. The examples described polyesters prepared from, in addition to 2-methyl-propane-1,3-diol, one or more of the following: adipic acid, phthalic acid anhydride, maleic acid anhydride, hexahydrophthalic acid anhydride, trimethylolpropane, ethylene glycol, hexane-1,6-diol and propylene- 1,2-glycol.
