1450950 Hydraulic winches R B BOLTON (MINING ENGS) Ltd 24 Feb 1975 [26 Nov 1973] 54805/73 Heading B8B An hydraulic winch includes a pair of parallel drums disposed one behind the other, each drum being driven by a constant speed hydraulic motor 2 or 6, the motor 6 providing greater speed but less power than that of the motor 2, each of the motors 2, 6 being interchangeable from its associated drum to the other drum, each said motor being attached by bolts to identical flanges (not shown) on the winch housing. The lower and upper runs of a rope 4, 8 are attached respectively to one of the drums, the rope passing about a pulley (not shown) remote from the winch.
