1521576 Two-stage reheaters KRAFTWERK UNION AG 1 July 1975 [18 July 1975] 27552/76 Heading F4A A reheater mounted to receive heating gases from a combustion chamber 4 of a steam generator comprises a first stage 5 which delivers via an injection cooler 11 to a first portion 13 of a second stage; a second portion 15 of the second stage upstream of the first portion with respect to the heating gases receiving steam which bypasses the first stage. As shown the stages comprise tube banks connected to headers and the tubes of portion 15 are of smaller diameter than the remaining tubes 13 of the second stage. Because of the lower temperature of steam entering tubes 15 water injection at 11 need only take place to a limited extent, e.g. as shown reducing steam temperature from 430‹ C. to 415‹ C.
