ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA process which enables cumulative recovery ofnonferrous metal values from manganiferous sea nodules anda limonitic ore comprises treating the limonitic ore in anaqueous acidic medium under reducing conditions to extractnonferrous metals and iron from the ore and form a solutioncontaining ferrous iron and then leaching the sea noduleswith such solution to extract nonferrous metals from thesea nodules and precipitate a predominant amount of theiron as hydrated ferric oxide.
