O-Alkyl-O-(2-carbalkoxy-2-alkoxy-vinyl)-(thiono)(thiol) phosphoric (phosphonic) acid esters of the formula IMAGE (I) in which R, R2 and R3 each independently is alkyl with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R1 is alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkylthio with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or phenyl, and X is oxygen or sulfur, WHICH POSSESS INSECTICIDAL, ACARICIDAL AND NEMATICIDAL PROPERTIES.
